Andy’s artistic journey began at Hong Kong’s most prestigious performing arts institution. In 2002, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts’ School of Drama, majoring in acting.
His brilliance earned him multiple prestigious scholarships including the Chung Pu Memorial, Spring Stage Production, and Jackie Chan Scholarships, plus the “Outstanding Actor Award” for his portrayal of “Peer Gynt.” He also won the “Outstanding Actor Award” at the 1999 Hong Kong Drama Festival.
Never one to rest on achievements, Andy continued expanding his horizons. In 2013, he studied Noh theatre at Tokyo’s prestigious Raku Institute, deepening his understanding of traditional Asian performance.
Local art troupes regularly invite him to weave magic, acrobatics, and mime into their productions, breathing new life into stage plays, children’s theatre, and operas. His collaborative spirit has flourished with renowned groups including Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, Viva Music, Tang Shui Wing Drama Studio, and Hong Kong Drama Association.
Today, Andy teaches English Drama at Kiangsu-Chekiang College in Shatin, inspiring the next generation while continuing to push theatrical boundaries.
Andy doesn’t just perform or teach, he lives the transformative power of dramatic arts, constantly finding new ways to connect with audiences and students alike.
